India has now come into the third phase of covid vaccination, in which the vaccine will be given to people between 18 to 44 years.

Even, though India is beginning its third phase of covid-19 vaccination the daily jabs that continue to fall are currently at 2.4 million.

Experts say that if India vaccinates at the same speed, it will take 2 years to vaccinate the entire India.

How Effective Is the Indian Vaccine?

India has already given more than 100 million doses of Covaxin, and Covishield which is made in India, But India aims to vaccinate 250 million people by the end of July.

The efficiency rate of this vaccine is 81%. according to the preliminary data for its third phase.

In the 2023 year, India faced the Covishield vaccine facing a shortage, while others struggled with the issue of the expiry date.

However, in 2024 its primary focus is on making mass production of booster dose vaccination.

Registration 18+

Registration for vaccination against COVID-19 infection to a person over 18 years of age has started from 4:00 pm on 28 April.

To register, you can use two types of platforms online.

One thing before that, without registration, you will not be allowed in government and private hospitals or dispensaries.

There are two platforms to register. the first one goes to https://www.cowin.gov.in/home and the second one is Arogya Setu.

  • Install the Aarogya setu app, and click the vaccination tab
  • Now, register for vaccination by filling in the required details.

Vaccination is free for 18+ In India

To boost the speed of vaccination in India, all people above 18+ will be vaccinated, and more than 20 states in India have announced that they will provide free covid vaccines to their people.

Reaction of Vaccine

After the vaccination is administered, everyone sits on the doctor’s surveillance for 30 minutes.

To see if they have a fever or dizziness because everyone knows that there is some reaction to the vaccine that someone has mild or none.

Some of the vaccine reactions that were seen in many people are:

  • Fever, (common in many people)
  • Dizziness
  • Body ache
  • Swallowing or pain at the site of injection
