NOTE: When it occurs in different places in the body is called seborrheic dermatitis.
Reason of Dandruff
A very common fungus called Malassezia is responsible for dandruff which lives on our scalp when these fungi eat our scalp oils, then dandruff occurs.
It is not a big problem, but if we don’t care about it, then it becomes a big problem, which creates many problems including:
- Hair fall
- Itching in scalp
- Redness
- Dry skin
- Irritation
Does Dandruff Occur More In Rainy Season?
Yes – Rainy season gives Malassezia fungus a perfect environment for breeding, which causes more dandruff, itchy scalp, hair fall, and frizzy hair.
Also during rainy monsoons hair fall occurs more because of sudden changes in monsoon conditions and high humidity. but how much humidity?
Humidity reduces the natural oil of our scalp, due to which the scalp becomes dry and hair roots become weaker, which more easily break.

- Oily skin dandruff – Our scalp produces oil (sebum) which lubricates and strengthens the hair.
- when oil production is too much, leads to oily hair, and excess oil sticks together causing dandruff.
- Fungus dandruff – It is a common type, caused by Malassezia fungus. And this fungus live on our scalps since childhood.

I’ve had a difficult time clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Appreciate it!|
