Covid – coronavirus is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus.
Many people have been greatly affected by this epidemic.
Many have lost their loved ones and many are still fighting it, but there are masks, sanitizers, and more other protection to support us to our loved ones in this covid situation.
Our Guardians
In this situation, everyone is trying to protect themselves, however, no matter how, In India and other developing countries to fight Covid, doctors are saving patients due to lack of oxygen, medicine, vaccine, and other essential items.
But at the same time, some people are taking full advantage of the situation of Covid for example 1 cylinder is being sold for 20,000 to 40,000 in black and from 50,000 to 1 lakh is being asked for Covid vaccine in black.
NOTE: In such a situation, some people do not see their benefit and are engaged in the service of the people, whom we can call our Guardians, our protectors, etc. include:
- Doctors, Nurses, all medical staff
- Army (Navy, Airforce, Indian Army)
- Cleaners (who clean the garbage around us every day)
- Police (which are pushing us to stay in-home)
- Security Guard (who maintain the social distance between us during Testing, vaccination, Rush areas, etc)
Some other people who contributed to this situation:
- Sellers: Even in this situation, your daily essentials items, such as vegetables, fruits, are sold from home to home.
- Some common citizens: which providing food to poor people, who cannot even afford daily Roti.
In 2024, COVID-19 is less severe, but another new variant is currently following JN.1, and almost everyone took a vaccine dose.
Our Safety Measure
All Medical staff, Police, Army, Cleaners, and other essential people through whom you can depend on them in case of Covid or for any kind of facility.
But we should also take precautions from our side or help our security staff such as those who can work from home, they should work from home, not get out without any means, go only on urgent work.
Our safety measures are in great demand, and why not? these all measure plays a vital role in our life or death in this situation.
So here are some safety measures which we should always keep in our pocket.
Mask
The mask was not so popular before COVID-19, but some people used it even then to avoid population.
In India, during the festival season (Diwali) masks can be seen on the face of many people. but for some time only.
But now in this pandemic, it is such that – those who do not wear masks will either get poles from the police or will be COVID-19 positive, so everyone must wear a mask even if they do not want to.
Some people are wearing their masks of 20 to 50 rupees to avert their fate. they should understand how important the mask is covid.
How to choose the right mask?
Take It | Don’t Take It |
Have 2 or more layers of washable breathable fabric mask | Made of fabric that makes it hard to breathe |
Completely cover your mouth or nose | Don’t take exhalation values or vents mask which allows virus particles to escape |
Well-fit against the sides of your face and don’t have gaps | Famous N-95 is recommended for prioritized, and for healthcare. |
Have a nose strip to prevent air from leaking out of the top of the mask | Do not put on children below 2 years of age |
Masks should be used as part of a comprehensive strategy of measures to suppress transmission.
Moreover, to save lives, the use of a mask alone is not sufficient to provide an adequate level of protection against COVID-19.
Hand Sanitizer
Good quality sanitiser plays an important role in the fight against COVID-19. To achieve this, hand sanitisers and masks are essential.
Hand sanitisers that have at least 60% alcohol should only be used.
The sanitiser is made with too much caution so that it cleans your hands and also harms your skin.
However, some local manufacturers have started to supply fake hand sanitisers in the market with the logos of some famous brands.
Many people buy it without knowing it because it is available in the market at a very cheap price.
How to know whether the hand sanitizer we are buying is genuine or fake?
Here are some tips that I also use when I buy hand sanitiser. they include:
Hack 1. Tissue Paper Test
To apply this test, take tissue paper and draw a circle in the middle of it with the help of a pen. now put some drops of hand sanitizer in the circle.
Note: If the ink starts to fade away and spills, it means your hand sanitiser is fake.
But if the circle remains as it is and the paper dries quickly, it means your sanitiser is of good quality and Real.
Hack 2. Fire Test
To do this test, put a dirty cloth put 2 to 4 drops of sanitizer, you can also put it on the surface and set it on fire.
If the fire starts immediately and turns blue then the sanitizer is real. if there is no fire, then they are fake.
Hack 3. Flour Test
You can also test the hand sanitiser by using flour. take some flour and some hand sanitiser to it.
try to knead the dough, if you can knead the dough easily just like you do with water, it means the sanitiser is fake.
If the dough remains flaky, it indicates that the hand sanitiser is original.
Social-Distancing
Social distancing also called physical distance – means keeping distance between yourself and other people who are not from your household.
In this era of covid, social distancing plays an important role like a mask and hand sanitiser.
Social distancing should be more taken care of by those who get out of work or travel daily by Bus, Metro, and those who have small children in the home.
Metro or Buses also have the facility of seating every person except for one seat, but you should also take precautions from yourself. they include:
- Avoided crowded areas
- Leave one seat in the metro and bus and sanitiser before sitting.
- After touching any surface, sanitize your hand, before touching the face.
Note: In India, a verse has also been made, a distance of 2 yards and mask is necessary. (दो गज की दुरी मास्क है जरुरी)
