Consumption of alcohol is correct to an extent, but if consumed in excess, it can be quite dangerous for the liver.

Constant consumption of alcohol causes liver damage, but many people do not give up drinking alcohol.

Alcohol in the liver is an enzyme called Dehydrogenos.

These enzymes break down this alcohol and convert it into acetaldehyde which is quite acidic causing liver damage.

Over and over again, deep drinking makes the organ fatty and creates many more problems which are tremendous for your liver health including:

  • Swelling in the liver
  • Fibrosis
  • Cirrhosis

Effect on Pancreas

The pancreas produces enzymes that digest your food. People with chronic pancreatitis are usually men between the ages of 30 to 50.

Alcohol contains a toxic substance that affects the pancreas and can lead to pancreatitis, inflammation of the pancreas, and swelling of the vessels in the pancreas.

Its excessive use increases the risk of diseases such as:

  • kidney failure
  • liver
  • lump formation in veins, etc

People most pancreatitis caused by alcohol can result in severe health issues and even death.

Chronic pancreatitis is hard to treat, the main advice is not to drink alcohol and with proper digestion.

Overall, drinking alcohol during an acute pancreatitis can worsen the condition and can contribute to chronic pancreatitis.

Effect on Heart

Alcohol can affect your heart and blood vessels. people who are deep drinkers of alcohol have a higher risk of heart-related issues like:

  • Heartburn
  • stroke
  • heart attack than people who do not drink

Excessive alcohol has direct effects on our high blood pressure.

Over time high BP puts a strain on the heart muscle and can lead to cardiovascular disease, which increases the risk of heart stroke and attack.

And at times, there is also a problem like diarrhea, which can turn into chronic problems, which can also cause problems like heartburn.

Immune system

After drinking, the body’s natural immune system decreases which causes weak Immunity that cannot handle the germs that invade your body

Which makes you more vulnerable to diseases, compared to non-alcoholic people.

People who drink heavy amounts of alcohol for a longer period are more likely to have tuberculosis and pneumonia than the same duration.

Moreover they are more likely to develop the disease within 24 hours after drinking.

Alcohol is not always bad for health, but it should be within limits, which promotes healthy gut bacteria and reduces infection risk.

Effect on Brain

Alcohol can affect brain functions in several ways. alcohol is generally known as a depressant of the central nervous system.

Which also shrinks and disturbs brain tissue.

It also boosts the production of dopamine which tricks the brain into thinking it’s feeling great.

Drinking excessive alcohol can lead to memory loss, and lack of coordination, which leads to experience sudden mood swings.

The Frontal lobe (responsible for the control of emotions in the brain like short-term memory, judgment, etc) can also be damaged.

Digestive Problem

Alcohol irritates your digestive system or even makes your stomach produce more acid than usual, which can cause gastritis.

Drinking can harm your digestive system and can also prevent your ends from recognizing food and absorbing vitamins, and essential nutrients.

But some studies show that wine might be able to kill the nasty bugs that cause food poisoning like salmonella and Norovirus before they are set up in your bowels.

However, a study shows that wine or other beverages with more than 10% alcohol prevent infections, which can cause liver disease.

It is clear here that drinking alcohol increases the temperature of the body, which many people use to keep themselves warm in cold areas.
