Some simple habits, and things that help to keep you happy, are very much needed in this covid-19 period.

Covid-19 has forced people to stay at home and has made many unemployed due to which there is a cloud of sadness in the minds of people.

There are many reasons to be sad, but in the same way, there are many things, habits, and ways that can help people be happy.

NOTE: For People who do something in their life – Whatever you do today, you will get the result according to today, So keep working to make your tomorrow happier, and better.

Happy and Sad are different characters, but both are linked to our Emotions, according to whatever we feel, our emotions show.

According to the WHO, more than 300 million people around the world face sadness, especially during this covid -19 pandemic, which also leads to mental issues.

According to the World Happiness Report in 2021, Finland is the happiest country in the world for the 4th consecutive year.

Then Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, Netherlands, Norway, etc.

So here we will talk about things, ways, and habits that help you to keep happy.

1. Keep Smile

This is one of the most common, and most recommended by many people, that keep smiling, which stimulates your mind to release dopamine, which makes you happy.

A few centuries ago American Scientist Paul Ekman monitored the smile of a group of ladies while they watch a movie.

The result was excellent that those who smile truly are happier than other groups of ladies.

However, it doesn’t mean that all people are happy, there are many people who take advantage of their fake smiles, which is even, more dangerous than angry people.

NOTE: So Avoid fake, and negative, people.

A genuine and true smile makes your day quite happier than other normal days.

2. Do Whatever you Like

There are many people who do what they love to make their day which include:

  • Exercises, many youngsters do the gym to keep themselves happy, fit, and busy.
  • Dancing, to enhance it, try with your partner, or family.
  • Cooking, many people have this hobby, and this hobby helps keep them happy.
  • Playing with pets like dogs, and cats, really make many people happy, even in their tough life situations.

These are some common things that really help you to keep happy, and some other things.

When you do exercises they affect 2 primary happiness hormones called cortisol and endorphins.

Cortisol is produced when the body feels stressed, and Exercise burns them away by increasing the production of endorphin hormones.

3. Live Today Don’t Think Of Tomorrow

There are many peoples, I am one of them, who are worried about their future, which makes them sad, especially in this covid pandemic most teenagers face.

Living in the moment is one of the greatest you can do for yourself, happiness comes only. instead of worrying about thinking future.

But, some moments which pushes us to think about our future, which is even good, but at the limit. don’t go for overthinking.

NOTE: So live today don’t think about the future, your future depends on what you do Today.

4. Go Offline

Keeping your phone away from you for at least 2 to 4 hours is difficult for some days, but 2 times a week can significantly positively affect your overall health.

Go on a little vacation, which means – a moment in your day when you can just rest and relax your mind.

Offline you can explore something new like talking with friends, spending time with family, doing exercises, etc.

Going offline is not a waste of your time, it just gives you some time to relax.

Leave everything behind (office work, family tension) for 1 day, and let your brain wander, which may also help you to keep happy.

5. Go On The Vacation

On hearing the name of vacation, happiness, and excitement automatically comes to our faces.

Even doctors, also suggest that at least once a time of 6 to 8 months should go on a vacation, which is a very great option to keep yourself happy every moment.

According to neuroscientists, when we travel, our brain builds new neural pathways, by rewiring the brain, means – more creative, and positive thinking, which makes you happy.

However, a positive, well-managed vacation can make your smile more extent, and after vacation, you feel more energy and very low stress.

I have experienced this myself by staying in nature or spending some time there, you get a smile and a lot of comfort on your face.

Spending 30 to 1 hour in nature daily can contribute to reducing blood pressure, heart rate, stress, and muscle tension, and give you complete relaxation.

According to the Biophilia hypothesis, being in nature can make us happier.

NOTE: Spending some time about 30 minutes in natural fresh air leads to many health benefits.

7. Avoid Negative People

Why I saying this is because negative people thinking is totally different, their way of seeing the world is negative.

So make sure, to avoid negative people as possible, they won’t take time to wash your mind.

How to avoid negativity here are some tips which include:

  • Find the positivity
  • Avoid those people whose thinking is very bad
  • Make your goal
  • Focus in solution

Positivity automatically feel you happier, there is a lot of change in the way of talking and listening.

NOTE: Negativity comes into all minds, but it depends on you, and how you handle it.

8. Unfold Your Old Good Memories

I personally advise that unwrap your old good memories, which is quite a relaxation, and automatically a smile will come on your face.

NOTE: However, some old memories make you sad, so keep calm, and remember those moments when you were happy with them.

Lying on the ground in solitude, thinking about the moments when you were happy, which still makes you happy today.

2. Take a Good Quality Sleep

If you think you don’t have time to sleep, and just 2 to 5 hours of sleep is enough.

During sleep, the body is at rest, which means – all the necessary work like:

  • Regeneration
  • producing cell
  • healing wound fast
  • cleaning unwanted memory etc is done during sleep.

Research suggests that the effects of a good night’s sleep are as beneficial to our happiness and well-being as got the thing we love.

Recommended 7 to 8 hours of sleep gives us more energy, and improves brain performance, as well as preparing and renewing our cells and tissue.

It is vital to balance our mental, and physical state, and this is the best way to relax and keep happy with your body, even by doing nothing.

I know that we cannot eliminate this stress by controlling it, we can maintain happiness in our life.

Research journal of happiness studies shows that people who work hard to improve their skills, and abilities certainly experience stress, but at the same time, they feel happier for a longer period of time.

5. Spend Time with a True Friend

We are social beings, and having close friends makes us happier.

Talking, and gossiping with friends really make us happier, but during this Covid-19 time, all talk, and gossip is a ban.

Apart from this, talking with friends in your bad times solves a lot of problems and gives a lot of relaxation to the mind.

6. Find Happiness In Every Moment

Last but most important find happiness in every little thing, which means – find happiness in everything that you are seeing, hear, and do.

  • Play the game like a game if you take this as a competition then happiness will not be found.

  • Taste success by learning from your failure
